Our Life

We also love to travel and every year we take several trips as a family.  Some of our favorite trips have been to Alaska, Myrtle Beach and Northern Michigan.   A fun family tradition we have is to take our kids to the waterpark in Frankenmuth for their birthday every year.  It is our special time together to celebrate.

Our life is full of laughter, silliness and so much love.  We live in a beautiful part of Southeast Michigan where we love raising our family.  Our home is just a block away from a lake, where we spend much of our time playing on the beach and swimming in the summer time.  In the winter we love sledding down the hill in our backyard and then coming inside to roast marshmallows in front of the fireplace.  Family time is the most important part of our day.

We try to live our lives and raise our children with three core values:

Kindness, Integrity and Gratitude

Our daily lives are dedicated to raising our children to be happy, healthy people.  We value the importance of education.  We also believe it is just as important to be a good person as it is to be a smart person.  We teach our children to always be kind to others, live their lives with integrity and remember to be grateful for everything they have.

We are fortunate enough to live in one of Michigan's best school districts and our children will benefit from attending schools that are racially and culturally diverse.

Our neighborhood is full of children and we have a very close bond with our neighbors.  Every year we host an easter egg hunt in the woods behind our home for the neighborhood kids.  Last year we hid over 600 eggs in the woods behind our house!

We try to make the holidays magical and fun for our children.  We love coming together with our extended family to celebrate family traditions and create new memories.  One of our favorite traditions is gathering with the family after Thanksgiving dinner at Emily's Aunt's house and singing old-timey songs.
